Sony Semiconductor Solutions announced on May 8 that it has reached a basic agreement with Taiwan’s semiconductor giant TSMC for a strategic partnership focused on developing and manufacturing next-generation image sensors. The two companies plan to establish a joint venture in Kumamoto Prefecture to strengthen applications in physical AI, including automotive, robotics, and industrial equipment.
